Komodo Island

Komodo Island is one of Indonesia’s most legendary travel destinations, set within Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in East Nusa Tenggara. Best known as the natural home of the Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis), the world’s largest living lizard, this island attracts travelers who come for rare wildlife encounters, dramatic landscapes, and unforgettable snorkeling experiences.

Komodo dragons can grow more than 3 meters long and weigh up to 90 kilograms, making every encounter feel both thrilling and unforgettable.

But Komodo Island is more than just dragons. The island is also home to coastal forests, scenic viewpoints, untouched beaches, and healthy coral reefs that are perfect for snorkeling and diving. One of the most famous nearby attractions is Pink Beach, also known as Pantai Merah, where soft rosy-colored sand meets crystal-clear water. It is one of the rare pink beaches in the world and remains a favorite stop for travelers visiting Komodo National Park.
